The Return of The Blue Typhoon

Tom Collins practicing before the infamous "Mino gig on the roof"
Currently feeling rather jaded after a long weekend with the musical.
On Friday night I went out on the town a couple of the boys just to wind down the week and also have some fun before selling my soul to the musical for the rest of the weekend. We stayed out till 4:30 and then Rory and I ended up crashing at Jenna's apartment because my car was outside (very nice of Jenna to be a light sleeper and to let us in.....) we woke up pretty early the next day (around 8:40) and had to be down in Anan by 10:00 which was doable. But we had to go back to Rorys and pick his shit up, then I needed new strings for my guitar but Hard Off didn't open till 10, so we went to MacyDee's for breakfast and......(well you get the idea) rocked into Anan at 11.
We had a couple of run throughs during Saturday and then had the performance. Having watched the other groups highlights for me were:
5. Stephs new lyrics for Bjorks "It's Oh so quite" referencing breaking into houses and drinking miso soup (Goldilocks)
4. Damon's freaky dancing! (Cinderalla)
3. Martin's bear catcher "We must....get the bears" (Goldilocks)
2. El, Joe and Jody as the ugly stepsisters doing "Big Spender" (Cinderella)
1. Martin's "Blue" Typhoon interprative dance! (Goldilocks)
The actual performance, I can only really tell you about our Red Riding Hood which went pretty well, it seemed to move well during scene's and for my part my guitar playing was ok (Saturdays performace saw busk Born To Be Wild) and well not too much of a stretch to be a drunk salary man now is it! Dub's rightly stole the show as the Big Bad Wolf with his dancing to "Just a Little" by Liberty X.
The next day was more of the same further south in El and D's home town of Hiwasa, which has a kick ass theatre. Sunday's busk was "Wild One" and I managed to drop a scene so I'm now done after the interval. Which was great as Mart, Rory and myself managed to watch the whole of the souths Cinderella, and they were really tight. Damon was getting a lot of home town love, now either El wasn't or they didn't recognise him in drag.
The ride home was a bind, but when I dropped Rory off in the city we got some Pizza and I got to chill for 30 minutes before resuming the trek home. I finally got back at 8:30 and watched the end of Napoleon Dynamite (which I'd started watching at Rorys and is really funny) before enjoying sleep.
This week should be hassle free, as I have 2 classes at school and a couple of Elementary school visits today and Friday. Also on Friday we have the big graduation ceremony for the 3rd years. Which reminds me I need to get my suit dry cleaned.
