Mucky Fingers

The new Oasis album is being drip fed onto the net as I type. So as I get it I'm gonna review tracks:

Track 2 - Mucky Fingers with Noel on vocals, seems really good, kinda a little reminiscent of Kings of Leon crossed with The Strokes with more 4 to the floor drumming ala Doves. The lyrical structure and the harmonica would have you pointing towards Dylans "Positively 4th Street"

Lyrics:

I know you think you deserve an explanation on the meanings of life
But what you think that you heard, slip away at the back of your mind

You get your mucky fingers burned
You get your truth from the lies that you've learned
And all your plastic believers will leave us and they won't return (walk on)

And when you look in the mirror and you're tired of your buttons and bows
And as you face your disease you can squeeze into the emperors clothes

You found your God in a paper bag
You get your history from the Union Jack
And all your brother and sisters are gone and they won't come back

(not 100% on these)
There will be life in the city
Cos all the phonies have run that line
When I've gone, yeah you look like you missed me
So come along with me, don't ask why

Cos It's all mine
It's all mine
It's all mine
(harmonica solo!)

Cos It's all mine (x loads)

Of course there is the trademark Oasis repetition of a lyric to fill space, this time "It'all mine".

The song sounds like Oasis, but also sounds like they're trying something different. If you're looking to throw stone's the sound still harks back to the 60's/70's but that's what they do, it just wouldn't be oasis if they started doing French Disco would it?

More reviews as I hear the tracks.
