You'll Never Walk Alone!

Xabi Alonzo = less is more
Ok admission first I woke up at 3:30am but kinda snoozed till 4:30am so I missed the first half of the Juventus v Liverpool Quarter Final, second leg.
There were no goals but we held on for the most heroic 0-0 match I've ever seen. The red's also helped my ticker by limiting Juve to only a few heart in my mouth moments.
Igor Biscan, who for some reason seemed to be singled out for some cynical tackling from both Montero and Emerson (did you boys get the wrong scouting report?) had a really solid game.
Nunez on the other hand he could play for 5 years and never get any better (although I seem to remember tarring Carragher and Biscan with the same brush, but this time I'm sure)
But that aside Rafa's tactics worked a treat and it was excellent to see Cisse back in the team and it looks like the injury has not cost him his pace (which after all is his main weapon).
A final word must go to Xabi Alonzo who was majestic in a less (match fitness) is more role that frustrated the Juve midfield.
Moving away from football (but El I'd love it if we beat your lot, I'd love it)
I must protest at ABC's scheduling, you bring me back my crack (Lost) and then drop it for god knows how many weeks this time (Lost, its a hell of a drug).
Here's an idea; commission a series and show it back to back for the 24 weeks of its run, fuck Christmas, the Easter bunny, superbowl and some special on god knows what and just show the series. I'm glad I don't watch 24 cos I could imagine this would be even worse.
I should point out that this rant is a little churlish as we have only just got series 2 of Alias on Sky out here and I think series 2 of 24 (or season as you Yankee Doodles like to call them) so having the ability to watch stuff before I used to in the UK (and years before I would in Japan) is a bonus, you got to love the way the BitTorrent is really an example of the digital flux capacitor.
Phew, I'll have to make do with the return of Smallville (which has been so far fetched this season, and that's saying something when its a series based on Superman), Alias (which after a slow start is getting much better) and Tuesday nights Holby City which I haven't got round to watching because of Champions League overload.
