Champions League hangover
My scavenger hunt team, this was beer one before the mentalness of the night
Not that I haven't been doing much over the last couple of weeks rather that after all the excitement of the Champions League victory the site has suffered a bit of Dudek, but we're back on track.
The main reason for my absence has been the effort I've been putting into the Tokushima AJET website that we've had up for a year but now feels like a valid user experience... I hope.
New to the site is a photo gallery and a blogger front page. Head over to Tokersajet to check out a few photos (Chiisai Sashin (Little Photo)) and a quite serious article I wrote about the Japanese national team.
Last weekend I think I was probably the drunkest I've been in a single day. On Saturday I have a period from 6pm-4am that I can muster about an hours worth of thoughts from. I must have been good entertainment as I've had no complaints from either friends or the feds, which is nice. We'd started drinking around 2pm and the fun didn't stop until just before sunrise the next day.
The heats really kicking in (just like back home by the sounds of it) the last 4 days have been +30 in the day and not much below that at night. Must get the Board of Education to look into my shoddy AC setup, I think if they are willing to install a new one, I'm willing to spend the cash and live 1st world for the last 12 months of my tenure.
Hoping to get in amongst this action over the weekend
This weekend I'm heading to Osaka with a bunch of my first year friends to try and see the Hanshin Tigers v Yomiuri Giants. The game is sold out so we're gonna be looking at a bit of touting action (if such a thing exists in Japan, with all the Yakuza activity in the Kansai region I'm hoping Osaka is the hub of Japan's black market).
The under-card to this is a trip to Namba Parks shopping centre to peruse the FCUK sale (40% off), NEXT, Diesel and some other store's to upgrade my current washing machine loved summer range of clothes.
The following week I'm also off to Osaka on a quite boozy boy's only weekend. That's not to say this weekend won't be boozy, I'm going up with the kids that I got fucked up with last week so I'm sure I'll be able to give you about a paragraph on the experience next week ;-)
The week following the second Osaka trip we have the Sayonara Party which is a camping affair down in the south (currently 65 people signed up) which I'm hoping the rainy season (in 12 days we've only seen 1 rainy day) doesn't spoil. It probably will, the rules of camping dictate that you have to pack up a damp tent before you leave the site or is that just my bad luck?
